SANTA CLARA, Calif., Oct 21, 2011 -- Silego Technology, Inc. was recognized on Tuesday night at Deloitte's 2011 Technology Fast 500 event in Menlo Park, CA as the 2nd fastest growing semiconductor company in North America with 1127% growth. Silego executives accepted an award on behalf of the hardworking Silego team.

What makes this story even more impressive is that four years ago Silego was the industry leader in PC Clocks and was informed by major processor manufacturers that the chip function Silego provided would soon be integrated into their chipset. This meant that 95% of Silego's revenue would disappear within two years. From that moment onward Silego began its transformation from a PC Clocking company into a CMIC (Configurable Mixed-signal IC) company.

John McDonald, VP of Marketing said, "I joined the company in March of 2008 for the purpose of changing the strategic direction of the company starting with a blank slate. From that point we worked closely with our customers and their engineering teams to scope out ideas for innovative solutions." McDonald continued, "Within two years Silego's design teams executed on that vision by introducing not one but four new technologies to the industry as part of the larger CMIC strategy while still servicing the legacy PC clock business."

Today, Silego now ships 100's of millions of CMIC products to numerous top tier companies across the consumer electronics market in highly standardized packaging. Despite the dreadful economy, Silego added significant staff in the Silicon Valley as well as opened design and technology centers in China and the Ukraine.
