Santa Clara -
February 15, 2006 - SILEGO Technology recently introduced Scalable
Power (SP) versions of its popular family of motherboard clock chips.
The new SP devices (SLGSP512 and SLGSP513) compliment existing LP (Low
Power) and RB (Reduced Bill of Material) configurations and bring the
lower energy consumption and reduced noise benefits of scalable power to
clock products for the first time. An integrated voltage regulator
allows operation of the devices while the VDD_I/O power supply voltage
transitions between 3.3 and 1.5 volts eliminating the need for the
external circuitry that would otherwise be required.
The SLGSP512 and SLGSP513 are optimized for use on the Intel Santa Rosa
mobile platform, are fully validated and hardware-software compatible to
the standard CK505. Samples and production quantities of the SP devices
are available now in lead-free 64-pin TSSOP (SLGSP512) or 64-pin QFN
(SLGSP513) packages.
The SP addition to the SILEGO PC motherboard clock product family along
with the LP and RB versions gives our OEM and ODM customers more
opportunity to lower system costs and reduce design time according to
Ilbok Lee, President and CEO of SILEGO Technology. Our vision of
creating value for our customers is to make their problems our solutions
added Mr. Lee, and integrating support for motherboard voltage scaling
within the clock chip is just latest example.
SILEGO Technology Inc. (www.silego.com) designs, develops and markets
semiconductor timing and frequency generators for the computer,
communications and consumer electronics marketplace. The company's
products include PC motherboard clock products and PLLs and Registers
for the DDR1/2 DIMM market.
