Dr. Ilbok Lee, CEO
Dr. Ilbok Lee has served as president
and chief executive officer and as the
director of Silego since its
inception. From April 1999 to September
2001, he was senior vice president and
general manager of the Timing Technology
Division at Cypress Semiconductor, after
Cypress Acquired IC Works. From May 1992
to March 1999, he was president and
chief executive officer and the director
of IC Works, a company which he
co-founded. From 1989 to May 1992, he
was president and director of Samsung
Semiconductor, Inc.
Dr. Lee served in various technical
and managerial positions at Intel and
National Semiconductor, prior to
co-founding Samsung Semiconductor, Inc.,
in the U.S. in 1983. Dr. Lee is a
director of Sierra Monolithics and has
previously served as a director of ESS
Technology, Inc. Dr. Lee holds a B.S.E.E.
from Seoul National University and an
M.S.E.E and Ph.D. from the University of
Minnesota. Dr. Lee has earned number of
patents and awards.
Chen Wang, Senior VP of Operations
Chen Wang has served as the senior vice president of operations and engineering and as the director of Silego since its inception. From April 1999 to September 2001, he was vice president of operations and engineering of the Timing Technology Division at Cypress Semiconductor, after Cypress acquired IC Works. From May 1992 to March 1999, he was senior vice president of operations and engineering and the director of IC Works, a company which he co-founded. Prior to the founding of IC Works, Mr. Wang was vice president of engineering at Samsung Semiconductor, Inc., where he led the group that developed memory products, clocks, and other semiconductor products. Mr. Wang holds an M.S.E.E.
from San Jose State University.
Kuang-Yu Chen, VP of Product Development
Kuang-Yu Chen has served as vice president of product development of Silego since October 2002. From April 1999 to March 2002, he was managing director of product development of the Timing Technology Division at Cypress Semiconductor after Cypress acquired IC Works. From May 1998 to March 1999, he was vice president of product development at IC Works, where he previously served in various engineering management positions since May 1993. Prior to joining IC Works, Mr. Chen was a staff design engineer at Samsung Semiconductor. Mr. Chen holds a B.S.E.E. from TamKang University in Taiwan and an M.S.E.E. from San Jose State University.
Dan Feier, VP of Administration/CFO
Dan Feier has served as vice president of administration and chief financial officer of Silego since January 2003. From April 1999 to April 2002, he was managing director of finance at Cypress Semiconductor, after Cypress acquired IC Works. At Cypress, he managed the product divisions and subsidiary finance functions, as well as M&A activities. From July 1997 to March 1999, he was vice president of administration and chief financial officer of IC Works. Prior to IC Works, he served as corporate controller of Sierra Semiconductor (PMC Sierra) and in various senior financial management positions at Philips Semiconductor, Oki Semiconductor, and Advanced Micro Devices. Mr. Feier holds a B.A
in economics from Brandeis University and an
M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
Tom Brumett, VP of Business Development
Tom Brumett has served as vice president of business development at Silego since January 2006. During 2003 and 2005, he was vice president of strategic product planning for Advanced Analog Integration Corporation. Prior to 2003, he held various product development positions with Westinghouse, Fairchild Semiconductor, Bendix, NCR, and Quality Semiconductor. In 1995, he co-founded MainStreet Networks and served as executive vice president. Tom holds a B.S.E.E. from Purdue University.
John McDonald, VP of Marketing and Sales
John McDonald came to Silego from SiTime
(’05 – ’08), a MEMS resonator start up. As
VP of Sales and Marketing, the SiTime team
introduced the world’s first and only
production MEMS oscillators, achieved
numerous design wins shipping 100’s K of
units in the first production quarter. Prior
to SiTime, John was working for Cypress
MicroSystems (CMS), a Cypress Semiconductor
funded startup and makers of the popular
PSoC microcontroller family. As VP of
Marketing ('01 to '05), he led a great
worldwide marketing and applications team
that grew the PSoC product family to be the
fast growing and high margin success it is
today. Prior to CMS, Mr. McDonald worked for
Cypress Semiconductor and was part of the
general purpose and programmable clock
marketing group ('98 - '01) during a period
in which non acquisition sales grew by more
than 5x of which more than 50% was Japan
designed in revenue. Mr. McDonald has also
worked for Analog Devices in the Precision
Op Amp group and as an advanced analog
design engineer for 6 years in Washington
State. John has his BSEE from the University
of Washington, and has authored numerous
technical articles.
