Product Launch: GreenFET3 SLG59M1600V

Silego Technology, a developer of highly configurable and cost-effective mixed signal products, today announced a new addition to its expanding single-channel, self-contained, reverse-blocking integrated power-switch product portfolio. The SLG59M1600V is optimized for high-current, low-voltage power-rail distribution, power-rail sequencing, or any other power-rail application where current flow from load to source cannot be allowed. With an internal charge pump, output voltage discharge circuitry, user-adjustable inrush current, thermal protection, and ON/OFF control, SLG59M1600V is a completely self-contained integrated power switch.

Application Notes
GreenPAK Macro Circuit RS flip flop with Reset priority
RS flip flop or SR flip flop — is a circuit that keeps its previous state when both inputs are LOW, and changes its state when one of the inputs (Set or Reset) is HIGH.
If Set input goes HIGH, Output will go HIGH, and if Reset goes HIGH the Output will go LOW. In a classic cross coupled logic gate circuit, the output is undetermined when both inputs are HIGH. The design presented in this application note assigns priority to RS to solve that limitation.
Wake/Sleep Timing Generator
For battery-powered applications, minimizing current consumption is a critical parameter of the design. So, keeping current consumption as low as possible is crucial. This can be achieved by using a WS (Wake/Sleep) timing block for controlling on-chip circuit block powerdown. The most power consuming blocks in GreenPAK IC’s are those that work with analog signals (ACMPs, ADC).
